FastingPrint Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 14, 2026

FastingPrint is a fasting timer. It is built so that we never see anything you log: there is no account, no analytics, and no server of ours for your data to reach.

In this policy, "FastingPrint," "we," and "us" refer to Makinon, the developer of the FastingPrint iOS app. FastingPrint is a separate app from SoHow, made by the same developer; SoHow has its own policy at sohow.app/privacy.

1. The short version

  • What you log stays on your iPhone, and — if you use iCloud — in your own private iCloud.
  • We don't create accounts, and we don't ask for your name, email or phone number.
  • FastingPrint makes no network requests of its own. It has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
  • We never sell or share your data. We can't: we never receive it.
  • You can delete your fasting data from the app at any time.

2. What FastingPrint stores

  • Your fasts: when each one started and ended, and the goal you set.
  • Your plans: fasts you've planned for a future day.
  • Your settings: your eating window, a long-fast goal if you set one, a weekly repeat if you set one, and small app preferences (for example, whether you've finished onboarding).

FastingPrint does not use Apple Health, your camera, your photos or your location, and it doesn't ask for access to them.

3. Where it lives

  • On your iPhone, in FastingPrint's private storage.
  • In your iCloud, if you're signed in. Your fasts and plans are mirrored to your private iCloud database so your other devices see them. That database belongs to your Apple Account; it's protected by Apple, governed by your agreement with Apple, and we cannot read it. Your settings are not synced — they stay on the device where you set them.
  • Widget and Live Activity. To show a running fast on your Home Screen and Lock Screen, FastingPrint shares that fast's start time and goal with its own widget, on your device only.

4. Notifications

If you allow them, FastingPrint schedules local notifications on your iPhone: when a planned fast is due, and when a running fast reaches its goal. They're created and delivered on your device; nothing about them is sent to us. You can turn them off any time in Settings → Notifications → FastingPrint.

5. What we do NOT do

  • No accounts, and no collection of your name, email address or phone number.
  • No analytics or usage statistics of any kind.
  • No advertising, no ad SDKs, no tracking across apps or websites.
  • No sale or sharing of personal information.
  • No sharing with SoHow. If you tap a link to SoHow inside FastingPrint, it simply opens SoHow or its App Store page; no data from FastingPrint goes with it.

6. Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays until you remove it.

  • Delete everything you've logged: in FastingPrint, Settings → Your data → Delete all fasting data. This removes every fast and plan from your device and from your iCloud. Your settings are kept.
  • Uninstalling FastingPrint removes what's stored on your iPhone, but not the copy in your iCloud. To remove that too, use Delete all fasting data first — or delete it later in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → FastingPrint.

We hold no copy of your data on our side, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete.

7. Health data is sensitive

Fasting history is health-related information. That's why FastingPrint keeps it on your device and in your own iCloud, and out of our hands. It's used only to show you your own timer, calendar and totals.

8. Security

Your data is protected by your iPhone's built-in security (encryption, app sandboxing, and your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID), and in iCloud by Apple's protections for your Apple Account.

9. Your rights

Because FastingPrint doesn't send your data to us, you exercise your rights directly in the app: you can see everything you've logged in History, edit a fast's start time, and delete your data as described in §6.

EEA / UK (GDPR): we don't process your personal data on our systems. If you'd like us to confirm that we hold nothing about you, email us (§12). You also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.

California (CCPA/CPRA): we don't sell or share personal information, and haven't in the prior 12 months.

10. Children

FastingPrint is not intended for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from children. Fasting isn't suitable for under-18s without medical advice — see the Health and safety section of our terms.

11. Changes to this policy

If FastingPrint changes how it handles data, we'll update this page and its "Last updated" date, and, for a material change, tell you in the app.
